Student life can be an exciting and rewarding experience but at times it can also be very confusing and stressful. Most students do not encounter any difficulties throughout their time at South Bank University. However there is a significant number of students who will have academic or personal difficulties requiring a Student Advisers help, assistance and representation.
The Student Advice Bureau provides a professional and friendly environment for students to talk to during those difficult times. The staff will help and give advice on a whole range of issues from finance, accommodation, academic matters to student health and safety. Whatever the issue, they will try to assist you or if they are unable to, then they will refer you to some-one who can.
The Student Advice Bureau is situated on the second floor of the Student Union building in Thomas Doyle Street. It is currently run by two members of staff who offer free, confidential and impartial advice.
If you would like to access the Student Advice Bureau service, visit or telephone the Student Union between 10 am – 4pm where the Receptionist will advise you of times for telephone advice or appointment on 020 7815 6060, drop-in sessions on a Wednesday morning. Alternatively, email for advice to su.general@lsbu.ac.uk.
