Stop the Cuts at South Bank This campaign provides insight into how the austerity measure will affect widening participation universities like London South Bank and highlights why you, an LSBU student should get involved in defending the future of education.
Access All Areas Looking at the universities 'Student Success' Corporate plan, accesibility and the universities commitment to diversity and widening participation.
Womens' Rights Uncovering the rights and responsibilities of people in gender equality. How Men can help combat violence towards women. This campaign aims to eliminate the stigma attached to Feminisim and equal opportunites.
Anti Fascism, Anti Racism LSBU is an incredibly diverse University; making us one of the best places to study. However the constant racism being whipped up by the British Government and press has allowed racist ideas to threaten this multiculturalism. Xenophobia against immigrants, vicious racism towards Muslims, and the growth of fascist organisations such as the British National Party and the English Defence League, make standing up to racism more important than ever
Environment and Fairtrade Campaigns Every year LSBU runs a vertitable selection of fun-tastic environmental, global and green awareness campaigns including Fairtrade Fortnight, Go Green Week and Student Switch Off
The Food Chain has been providing nutritional support to people living with HIV in London for 23 years. We provide hot meals, groceries, and nutritional education to people who are too ill, or too poor, to get the diet they need. These services are provided by a network of over 800 fun, friendly volunteers. The Food Chain is looking for volunteer drivers and navigators! You can volunteer for as little as one day a month and make a difference in your local community. Alternatively, you could help us raise funds by designing posters and helping out at events.
To get involved, visit, www.foodchain.org.uk, or email volunteering@foodchain.org.uk
