Academic Matters

Incorporating studying into your everyday life can be quite difficult. As a new student you may have to find new ways of adjusting things so that you can keep up with your academic work. But what happens when something unexpected happens like, illness, a death in the family, eviction?

• How do you cope?
• Who do you tell?
• If you can’t study and won’t complete your work in time can you ask for an extension?
• If you fail your examinations can you appeal?

When you are experiencing stress and emotional trauma it can be hard to deal with all the practical aspects of your problem as well. The Advisers can also offer a hands-on approach, whereby they will make phone calls, write letters and liaise with third parties on your behalf.
